We will start with tuning in to our body, each other and space. From there we will explore various scores that focus on discovering some of the many ways we can interact with a partner and the group. Throughout the workshop, we will breakdown and lab concepts that help create ways we can ‘lift’ each other and we will also leave time to jam together.
- Comfortable working in contact with other humans.
- Ability to taking steps of taking care of self, such as respecting your limitations/weaknesses by modifying or ability to say ‘not right now’
- Ability to respect others edges/boundaries in order to create a safe workplace for everyone
Shira Yaziv is a dancer, teacher, bodyworker, and facilitator. She enjoys encouraging people to be in their bodies while learning new skills, being creative, listening and adapting to the changing present moment. Shira is the co-founder and owner of Athletic Playground, a dynamic indoor place-space, inspiring physical play through a wide variety of movement classes. Shira has been performing dance in California since 2010 with Scott Wells & Dancers, Megan Lowe Dances, Sebastian Grubb/BodyWagging, Zoe Klien Productions and more.
